I believe there are great possibilities here for sharing information and communicating with family and friends.

This network and all aspects of Looking 4 Kin are free and will always remain that way. All we ask is that you participate if you join.

Editing Or Adding To Your Profile Page:

Click on the My Home Page tab at the top of this page. Here you can change the color and layout of your page, add your photo, put more information on the names you are researching. It is your page to alter however you want as long as it is kept genealogy related. When done here head on over to the groups and start joining and posting. Also remember to stop into Looking 4 Kin Genealogy Chat.

To Search For & Join Groups:

Click on the Groups tab at the top of this page. On the left you will see a search box, from here you can search for a group type or name.

On the right you also have the option of sorting the groups by most active, latest activity, most members, most active from the drop down box on the right of the groups area.

Or you can use the list to the left for Countries and Special Intrest Groups

Once you find a group you wish to join simply click the join button.

To Post A Message:

Please join a group in the area you are researching and click on start a discussion. There are also specialty groups you can post in or you can start a group of your own for your area or family name.

To Search For A Member:

Click on the Members tab at the top of this page. On the left you will see a simple search box from which you can search a name. There is also am advanced search box where you can search names people are researching or an area.

To Invite Friends:

Simply click on the Invite Friends tab at the top of this page and take it from there.

To Post A Blog:

Click on the Read or Write A Blog tab at the top of this page. From here you can write a blog on a topic of your choice as long as it it genealogy related and not a commercial blog for your own gain.

To Visit Looking 4 Kin Genealogy Chat:

Click the Cenealogy Chat Room tab at the top of this page. You will need to register there again to enter the chatroom.

Lets all work together to get this Genealogy Network active and interactive and where helping hands really do help one another with our family history.

Well where do I begin? Increasingly more and more of these resources are being digitalized into collections. The best I can do is to summarize those that I have found useful.
